Lone Tree CO is next-door to Park Meadows -- one of the largest and most beautiful shopping malls in Colorado. Lone Tree, which is part of Douglas County, is about 17 miles southeast of Denver. The C-470 freeway, which runs through Lone Tree, provides an easy access to skiing and hiking in the Colorado Rocky Mountains to the west.
The city is also home to one of the newest performance facilities in Colorado -- the 43,000-square-foot Lone Tree Arts Center, which opened in 2011 and includes a 500-seat main stage as well as space for children's classes.
Community strengths include participation in the highly rated Douglas County Public Schools, the city's own branch of the Douglas County Libraries and an active lifestyle. South Suburban Recreation District's 55,000 square-foot Lone Tree facility includes an indoor pool with a lazy river and water slides. The rec district also manages the newly remodeled Tennis Center and Park at its Lone Tree Golf Club.
